Accomodation

Greenwich College can arrange all your accommodation. There are many types available, we can help choose the type that is right for you and your budget.

Arrival bon bong

When students first arrive in Sydney they often stay in youth hostels, hotels or back packers. While these can be expensive to stay in for a long time, they are very convenient. Backpackers, in particular, are a quite cheap, though you will have to share a room with other guests. Greenwich can also arrange homes-stay and airport pick ups. Staying in a home-stay when you first arrive will let you practice English and learn about life in Sydney.

Mid Term

Students who are staying for a few months often share a house or apartment with other people, usually students. If you really want to save money, then share a room with a friend. Renting with other students can be a lot of fun, but if you want to improve your English, then choose house-mates from a different country!

Long Term

Students planning to stay here longer than 6 months often rent a house or apartment. If you don't have the money to rent alone then get a few friends together and share the cost. A real estate agent can help you find a house. You will need to place a bond with the real estate agent. This is usually 4 weeks rent, and will be returned if you leave the house in the same condition you found it. You will also need to prove to the agent that you are capable of paying the rent. You can do this by showing evidence that you have a regular income (from a job or allowance), or a bank account with money in it.
