English for Business offers students the opportunity to learn the English skills they will need to conduct business in a global environment. This 12 week course is designed for students who are already at an intermediate level of English and want to develop business-specific English skills. It is divided into 3 x 4 week modules.
Overview
Our English for Business course features 3 x modules:
1. Administration and Customer Service – Learn the English used across a broad range of general business contexts including customer service and how to develop customer focused business administration.
2. Sales and Marketing – Learn the essential English required to conduct market research and the skills to plan and implement effective sales strategies, including the essential sales skills of negotiation and persuasion.
3. Management and Human Resources – Lead people with confidence – good communication is essential to attract and retain a winning team. This module helps to provide the requisite English skills to help manage people in the workplace.
Authentic Business Case Studies
In a changing global business environment it is important to keep abreast of what businesses are doing to stay on top. During your English for Business program, you will meet experienced people from the business world and hear about their successes and failures and what they are doing to keep ahead of the competition. Working in teams, you will apply the specialist business English you’ve learned to prepare business cases that address real issues.

Entry Requirements
- 5.0 IELTS; or
- Greenwich College Entry Test every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00am and 4:00pm; and Wednesday at 4:00pm; or
- Offshore Entry Test available through our registered representatives
Duration
- Courses start every 4 weeks
- Study 4, 8 or 12 weeks
English Club
English Club provides all Greenwich College students further practice their English lessons with more teachers and fellow students. English Club is free and available Monday to Thursday, 3pm-4pm. Students who regularly attend English Club also receive gifts from Greenwich College including lunch vouchers, movie tickets and Sydney day trips. All English Club lessons are delivered by TESOL Trainees under the supervision of a qualified Greenwich College Trainer.
