Buses
Buses connect most of the outer and inner suburbs of Sydney and most major bus routes offer services around the clock, even after trains and ferries have stopped operating. Fares are charged by the distance you travel and bus tickets can be purchased on board or at major convenience stores.
Both Greenwich College’s Liverpool St and Kelly St campuses are accessible by a number of different bus lines and services.
Trains
Sydney’s City Rail system connects the inner city to the outer suburbs. Single, return and multi-use passes are available for travellers and can be purchased at the station. Train services in Sydney usually end around midnight and start at 4:30 am.
Greenwich College’s Liverpool St campus is located just footsteps from Museum Station and about a 2 minute walk from Town Hall Station. The Kelly St campus is about a 10 minute walk from Central Station.
Ferries
Ferries run from a number of suburbs around Sydney Harbour. Students who take the ferry can transfer to bus or train services at Circular Quay to get to their classes. Daily ferry services end at midnight.
Taxis
Taxis are available around the clock and can be booked online or over the phone. Rates depend on the time and distance that you travel and are displayed by a metre. You may need to pay extra for tolls and booking fees. A taxi ride from the airport to the city costs around $30 – $35.
Some students who have an international driver license may choose to keep a car during their stay. Keeping a car will incur additional expenses such as registration, maintenance, parking and petrol.
